The Ultimate Ladakh and a Dash of KashmirExperience some of the best of Ladakh ...Northwest of the Indian sub-continent, lying between 10,000 and 20,000 feet and split by the Indus River, is the mountainous area of Ladakh. Here, in Little Tibet, the ancient Buddhist traditions remain intact, and blend peacefully with a Moslem heritage that goes back many hundreds of years. Between May and October the weather in Ladakh is at its best for touring, camping, rafting and hiking through the multi-colored mountain ranges, dotted with monasteries, caves and charming villages. This special trip allows you to experience some of the best of Ladakh in a variety of ways - hiking, rafting, a jeep safari and basic touring. The trip ends with a short stay in a houseboat in Kashmir, at the moment quite calm.
